App Redesign
CRAIGSLIST
a redesigned experience for Craigslist, the buying and selling platform that everyone knows and loves.

i created a new custom Craigslist mobile app that offers a seamless shopping experience. without sacrificing the brand's down-to-earth, honest personality, i created a space that's more inviting to the customer and visually appealing overall.

Craigslist

the problem
craigslist, a widely used online marketplace, has long been criticized for its outdated, cluttered, and unfriendly interface. users frequently quote difficulties in navigation and locating features, leading to frustration and inefficiency in finding and buying items. the lack of cohesive brand identity and intuitive design makes it challenging for Craigslist to compete with more modern, visually appealing spaces.
"In a lot of ways it still looks scammy, feels wonky to navigate, and breaks Human Interface Guidelines, but it's a start :-)." - Review from App Store
01. user flow
the search process for items is complicated and includes extra screens. how might we condense this information?

reflection
craigslist was one of my first UI/UX projects i've ever worked on. if given more time, i would continue user testing and tinkering with the UI to find the most favorable features. i feel as though i understand a little more about the importance of iterative design and a mindset of constant growth. everytime i come back to this project, i see things i would like to explore upon further, change, or remove... i guess that's the beauty of the design process - there's always room to grow.

for now, please enjoy playing with my prototype! 🥳
